Cecily Gauson, an Australian woman, was born on New Year’s Day 1910 and at the age of 100 still calls bingo numbers 3 times a week.

She insists retirement is “out of the question” and still feels as energetic and healthy as ever (perhaps it’s all the free bingo?!).

Ms Gauson has been calling the game for nearly four decades and cannot get enough of it. “I think I have a bit of fun with them; I’ll toss in a few jokes in the meantime and we’ll have a laugh,” she said.

Letters have come from the Queen, the Governor-General and the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd congratulating her on reaching the milestone of 100 years.
