BB finalist plays bingo for local charity

Former Big Brother housemate Mikey Hughes turned his celebrity hand to bingo recently in a bid to raise money for charity in his hometown.

The Scottish reality TV star played bingo and performed the duties of a bingo caller for students at Kilwinning’s James Watt College in aid of Ayreshire Cancer Care, a regional newspaper reported.

Commenting on the fundraising bingo event, student Ian Mullen told the Irvine Herald: "Mikey carried out the job of bingo caller very professionally and with a great sense of humour.

"He also interacted very well with the students who had a great affinity with him and happily posed for photographs and signed autographs."

Mikey, 34, a radio producer, made it to the final of Big Brother series nine.

The TV personality recently revealed hopes to make it to the House of Commons as an independent candidate in response to the recent expenses controversy in Westminster.ADNFCR-1782-ID-19216676-ADNFCR
