The trade association for the bingo industry in the UK is to meet today, according to a statement on its official website.
Members of the Bingo Association’s executive council will gather to discuss and debate the relevant issues to do with the sector, among other subjects.
Every two months, the executive council meets up and the site claims that the gathering is “strictly open only” to members of this council.
Gala Bingo announced last month that it was leaving the Bingo Association, prompting the association’s chairman Sir Peter Fry to make an announcement.
He stated: “The industry has faced a number of challenges in the past eighteen months and is still fighting to address some of the key inequalities that remain, such as double taxation.”
The association also indicated that it retained a “valuable voice” in the industry and named Mecca Bingo as one of the organisations that has kept its membership to the group intact.
