Bingo club thanked
A bingo hall in Barry, Wales has been thanked and commended for its work in raising money for the Follow Your Dreams charity.
Sara Cannon, coordinator of the organisation, told the Barry and District News that the Victoria Park Community Bingo Club’s fundraising efforts will be beneficial to youngsters in Wales.
“There is never a shortage of people who need financial assistance,” she explained, following the club’s donation of £550.
Money was gathered during the community bingo group’s Christmas party at the end of last year.
Donations from members and proceeds from a raffle, as well as extra cash from the committee’s coffers, were collected to make the total.
Last year, PartyBingo highlighted how the internet numbers game industry can do its bit for good causes by raising £10,000 for the British Red Cross in March.
The donation was based on PartyPoints gathered by the online bingo portal’s members during a set period.
