A woman from Wisbech in Cambridgeshire was celebrating this week after winning big at bingo.
The gamer walked away with more than £23,000 after collecting various national and regional prizes at the Wisbech Empire Theatre, reports the Fenland Citizen.
Her windfall was broken down into a national award of £20,000, a regional giveaway of £3,756 and a house prize of £60.90.
She has requested to remain anonymous after her big win, which reportedly “delighted” the workers at the bingo hall.
Meanwhile, in the online numbers game world, Astro Bingo has rewarded various players with prizes since the turn of the year.
The online bingo site dished out jackpots of £140, £180 to gloria38 and daisymclazy respectively in the opening fortnight of 2009, while the latter gamer also won a £100 prize on January 14th.
This came after similar £100-plus windfalls were won by silverm and joey just after Christmas 2008.
