A Devonshire man’s charity fundraising effort has been boosted thanks to an evening of bingo.
Matt Wintle from Ottery, near Sidmouth is getting involved in a number of activities to help The Stroke Association.
As reported by the Sidmouth Herald, his mother Brenda suffered a stroke five years ago and now the 32-year-old is raising money for the charity in her honour.
The bingo event took place last week at The Otter Nurseries and managed to raise £367.
According to the local newspaper, Mr Wintle will be cycling from London to Paris later this year in a bid to raise even more money for the organisation.
Earlier this month, former Big Brother housemate Mikey Hughes was involved in a bingo event for charity in the Scottish town of Kilwinning.
Hughes visited James Watt College to act as a bingo caller for an event organised by students to raise money for Ayreshire Cancer Care.
