The winner of a £60,000 prize on an interactive bingo show has revealed how "everything went bananas" on his television when it was announced he was the recipient of the big-money jackpot.
Michael Hercock, who is from Margate in Kent, was playing the numbers game on the ITV1 programme Bingo Night Live, which is sponsored by PartyBingo.
And he explained to the Isle of Thanet Gazette that mayhem ensued on the show when his name was read out.
"They were shouting that Michael from Margate has won £60,000 jackpot. The screen zoomed in on the map towards Margate," the lucky 67-year-old remarked.
He added that his carpet was almost worn out from all the pacing up and down he had been doing during the course of the game.
Mr Hercock received a cheque from Bingo Night Live’s Melinda Messenger a few days after his winning numbers came up.
