Carl Froch may be well known for his prowess in the boxing ring but the star sportsman is also a fan of a rather different activity.
In an interview with the People, Froch revealed that while he often receives invites for glittering celeb-studded events, he feels much more comfortable going to play bingo with his mum.
The 29-year-old was crowned WBC super-middleweight world champion earlier this year after beating Jermain Taylor.
However, he revealed to the newspaper that he is now finding fame a bit difficult to cope with.
He said: "Since the Taylor fight, I’ve been invited to a few red-carpet dos, I get some serious attention.
"I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve got a beautiful girl on my arm or because I’m world champion. I’m not big on the celebrity thing. I’m a grounded individual – I still go to bingo at The Top Spot in Nottingham on a Sunday night with my mum. I love it!"
Froch went on to say that he also enjoys going for drinks with his brother and playing snooker with his friends.
