Her Dutch sounding name may suggest she has alternative allegiances, but Dita Von Teese is to take part in Eurovision with Germany this year
The American burlesque dancer, who was previously married to Marilyn Manson, will be performing with a German group to their song Miss Kiss Kiss Bang in Moscow.
Speaking to Bild newspaper, Von Teese said: "I feel honoured to appear with Alex and Oscar at the Grand Prix in Moscow. I hope that our collaboration will win."
She is not the only celebrity taking part this year, with the UK’s entry rumoured to feature Andrew Lloyd Webber playing the piano.
Jade Ewen will perform the song My Time, which was written by Webber as part of a reality TV show.
Commenting on the events, William Hill spokesperson Rupert Adams said that Dita’s appearance in the show makes Germany "genuine contenders" to win the contest.
