Country music legend Dolly Patron has revealed that a desire to look good for her fans is a major reason behind her fondness for cosmetic surgery.

Over the years, the 63-year-old has undergone number of cosmetic procedures, including Botox injections and, perhaps most famously, breast augmentation.

However, unlike many of her fellow celebrities, the country and western star claims that it is respect for her fans rather than simply vanity that means she manages to defy the years with her looks.

"I look at it like it is – if you’ve got the money and you’re going to be out there, you owe it to people not to look like a dog if you can help it," she told New York Magazine.

Rather than taking it easy in her 60s, Dolly has recently been writing the music and lyrics for a new musical based on her hit 1982 movie 9 to 5, which is due to open on Broadway today (April 30th).
