Ex-Bingo Association man moves to pastures new

A former representative of the Bingo Association has moved to a new role within the gaming industry.

David Boden, who was once deputy chairman of the trade association for the numbers game, has now been appointed as Devilfish Gaming’s new executive chairman.

Referring to his past role with the bingo industry, as well as his positions as a council member for the British Casino Association and director of Business in Sport and Leisure, Mr Boden’s new employers labelled him a “high profile” figure in the gaming sector.

Another role he held was with Rank Group, the owner of Mecca Bingo. At this firm, he was managing director of the gaming division.

Paul Barnes, chief executive of Devilfish Gaming, said: “The appointment of David Boden to the board is a very significant milestone in our evolution as a multi-channel branded gaming operator.”

Kevin Leech is stepping down as Devilfish’s executive chairman and will instead take up the non-executive director position.

Business Week reports that Brian Mattingley is a current deputy chairman at the Bingo Association.
