Simon Cowell was attacked by a fan as he was leaving a television studio this week.

As reported by the London Paper, the pop mogul was making his way home after filming Britain’s Got Talent when the fan lunged in front of his car.

The woman appeared to be trying to stop Cowell from leaving and was then held down by security guards.

A witness told the free newspaper: "All the girls in the crowd got excited when Simon wound his car window down to wave at them, but one went too far and actually tried to stop him from leaving.

"Security had to pull her away from his vehicle and hold her against the ground to let Simon out safely."

The final of Britain’s Got Talent is due to take place tomorrow (May 30th), with Scottish singer Susan Boyle the favourite to win the show.
