The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, is reportedly in talks to become the new host of This Morning.

According to the latest celebrity rumours, Fergie is being considered as a possible replacement for current presenter Fern Britton, who is set to quit the show at the end of the series after ten years in the role.

"She is a big fan of the show and is keen to carry on her TV work. She loves interviewing," an insider told the Sun newspaper.

"Even if she doesn’t end up doing the job, we would still love her to make films for us and she could definitely be a stand-in host."

The coveted prime-time presenting job is likely to be announced later in the year.

Fergie has previously filmed a documentary for ITV following a charity mission to Romania and Turkey with her teenage daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in 2008.
