The organiser of the annual Online Bingo Summit has revealed that the idea behind the event – when it was first held in 2006 – was to allow industry representatives to debate the pertinent sector issues.

Ravi Virpal, director of Bullet Business, the organisation that arranges the convention, said that the gathering was also a way of helping online bingo move away from the “wider online gaming chamber”.

Apparently the event has worked in this regard and has grown every year since it was first held.

In 2006, the summit brought together 85 of the leading online bingo companies, but this increased to 180 the following year, according to Bullet Business’s website.

Figures show that there were around 250 firms at last summer’s gathering, while it is predicted that this number could inflate by another 100 later this year.

The Millennium Gloucester in London will be hosting the occasion between June 16th and 17th.
