Online bingo 'keeps community feel'

The world of online bingo retains a “community feel”, even though it attracts people of all ages from various demographics.

At least that is the viewpoint of Ravi Virpal, the director of Online Bingo Summit organiser Bullet Business.

Internet bingo is very much like the land-based variation of the numbers game in this manner, the expert has suggested.

Most bingo enthusiasts go to gaming sites “to have a chat and be part of that community“, Mr Virpal continued.

His comments come after Bingo Association chief executive Paul Talboys offered his opinions on the sector earlier this month.

Mr Talboys believes that the widespread coverage of bingo via television adverts indirectly promotes the traditional version of the game that is played in halls across the UK.

He claimed that because bingo is “in front of everybody all the time”, those who are not familiar with the industry may not be aware whether the ads are marketing the off or online format.
