Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps actress Sheridan Smith and ex-Blue singer Duncan James will appear alongside each other in a new West End musical.

Legally Blonde The Musical will hit the stage later this summer, with the famous pair set to take the roles of Elle Woods and her lover, Warner.

The show is a West End version of the hit film, which starred Walk the Line actress Reese Witherspoon.

Smith, who has recently been romantically linked with Gavin and Stacey funny man James Corden, has also appeared in TV series Grownups and Jonathan Creek.

Meanwhile, James has been keeping busy with roles as presenter of the BBC’s National Lottery programme and as the host of Sky 1′s Summer School Musical.

Aptly, the 30-year-old singer spends his time on the reality TV show trying to find a school that can perform on the West End stage.
