Kate Moss was among the stars who shone at the Metropolitan Ball in New York.

The supermodel was dressed in an eye-catching gold toga dress at the event, which is regarded as the highlight of the social season in the Big Apple.

Ms Moss was accompanied by super-designer Marc Jacobs on the red carpet. The pair were also acting as co-hosts for the evening.

Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham was also present at the bash and wore a dress designed by Jacobs that showed off her new tanned look.

Jessica Alba and Anne Hathaway brought some Hollywood glamour to the evening, while model Gisele Bundchen was also present.

Madonna was a surprise attendee at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala and she turned heads in a daring Louis Vuitton outfit.

The event was held to celebrate the opening of the museum’s Spring exhibition, which has the theme of ‘The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion’.
