Offline clubs in danger of closing

Gala Bingo are feeling the pressure of the economic crisis and will close five bingo halls across the UK.

The clubs at Hull St Stephens, Port Glasgow, Leven, Pitsea and Aldridge will close in the next two months, and a sixth club was closed last week.

120 jobs will go when the clubs close.

The tax rise from 15% to 22% wil not help the situation, says Neil Goulden, the Chief Executive of Gala Coral; Gala Bingo’s’ parent company.

The online Gala Bingo sites will not be affected.

“It’s a shame when you see any club close, but we’ll always have the online bingo clubs,” said Sophie Lexus.

“It may even mean that some of these players will join the online bingo halls – which would great for the online bingo community!”

Gala Bingo are currently offering a £20 free play bonus for new players.

Best Bingo Wishes, Sophie
