Posh bingo is due to be played in the north-east of England later this year.
The Journal reports that the Macdonald Linden Hall Golf and Country Club near Morpeth will be hosting the special evening of fundraising on March 26th.
Clickerty Clicks is the group organising the numbers game night following other successfully-run events in different parts of the UK in the last few years.
It is dubbed posh bingo due to the smart clothes, three-course dinner and champagne reception that help make up the evening.
All cash raised from the gathering will be donated towards the charity Action for Children.
Online bingo fundraising was also an evident feature of the industry last year with a number of websites doing their bit for good causes.
Crown Bingo has been running monthly charity bingo games for some time and recently donated cash to the East Anglia Air Ambulance organisation.
