Bingo is “great fun” says Politician

The game of bingo, which is enjoyed by thousands of people across the UK, has been described as “great fun” by a Scottish politician.

Scottish National Party Treasury spokesperson Stewart Hosie identified a host of positive points about the numbers game in a statement earlier this week.

He explained that the importance of bingo to the UK “cannot be underestimated” due to a plethora of reasons.

“Bingo halls provide a safe and friendly environment for the whole community but especially older people to meet and socialise,” the MP suggested.

Scotland’s association with the game was commented on earlier this year by one man who works in the industry.

Carlton Bingo managing director Peter Perrins told the Scotsman this summer that bingo means a lot to people north of the border.

He indicated that the numbers game, which is now regularly played online, has a long and proud history in the country.
