Mecca Bingo in Sheffield will get into the festive spirit this weekend when it hosts a pantomime.
The bingo hall will provide the setting for theatre group Chaplins’ production of The Woodcutter and the Wolf.
Money raised by the occasion will be put into the bingo firm’s Whizz-Kidz charity pot, reports the Sheffield Star.
Whizz-Kidz provides specialised equipment for disabled children, and Mecca Bingo has been raising money for the organisation throughout the year.
Once the panto is over, youngsters in the South Yorkshire city will be able to get involved in free bingo and board games at the establishment.
Mecca Bingo facilities in South Shields and Southport are two of the clubs that have been involved in the Whizz-Kidz fundraising.
The Shields Gazette and the Southport Visiter reported that their respective bingo halls have both raised more money for the good cause than they had originally targeted.
