Rock 'n' Roll Bingo is a success

Rock 'n' Roll Bingo is a success An afternoon of bingo and music at a church in West Yorkshire has been described as successful.

The Neighbourhood Scheme for Todmorden organised the event for the Friends of the Unitarian Church at the town's place of worship.

Dubbed Rock 'n' Roll Bingo, the occasion attracted more than 50 people, who all appeared to have a good time, reports the Todmorden News.

Afternoon tea was also served to keep the guests fed and watered while they got their eyes down for the bingo and their bodies on the dancefloor.

Beth Maiden, a support worker involved in the proceedings, told the newspaper it was "lovely" to witness the church being used for a community event, as it had been closed for a prolonged period of time before recently being renovated.

Bingo was also one of the activities that made up the Abbey Wood Neighbourhood Pride event at Boxgrove School in Greenwich last month, according to the News Shopper.
