Mecca Bingo players in Exeter are tracking the progress of charity slimmer Keri Prowse on a weekly basis.
According to the Express and Echo, the assistant team leader at the bingo operator's food and drink department is aiming to lose two stone and raise £100 for the Whizz Kidz charity in the process.
Each week, the 20-year-old is paraded in front of the numbers game players at the Exeter bingo hall for a public weigh-in.
Apparently, standing in front of the big crowds acts as an incentive to keep losing weight and helps her work towards the stated target.
"It's really nerve-racking when everyone is staring and I just want to die, especially the first time I did it," Ms Prowse explained to the newspaper.
Gala Bingo recently announced that it was aiming to raise money for charity over the next 18 months. The Sue Ryder Care organisation, which helps people with a variety of serious and terminal diseases, is set to benefit from the company's fundraising.
