This weekend sees the Adlington Carnival take place in the north-west of England.
Soap celebrities Chris Fountain and Joe Gilgun will be making appearances at the event in order to entertain the crowd, reports the Bolton News.
Fountain, who plays Justin in Channel 4 show Hollyoaks, will be presenting the festival queen with her prize on Sunday afternoon.
According to the newspaper, the presence of the two television stars will add some "glamour" to the occasion. Organisers and visitors alike will be hoping that they bring the good weather with them as well.
In addition to the celebrities being on show, the carnival will have a selection of activities and competitions.
Opening the event on Friday August 8th is a bingo session, karaoke and a yard of ale contest.
Many of the events will be taking place in a marquee set up on the Jubilee Playing Fields in the historic Lancashire town.
