A man from Airdrie is planning a holiday south of the border after winning a £37,000 prize at what could be the UK's luckiest bingo hall.
The manager of Mecca Bingo in Knotty Ash recently told the Liverpool Echo that his was the luckiest club in the country after members picked up several sizeable prizes.
However, Club 3000 in Coatbridge would appear to be rivalling the Merseyside bingo hall for the title, having seen Soraya Lowell scoop a world-record jackpot of more than £1 million there in March.
Another player at the Scottish venue has now struck lucky, although not quite to the same extent.
The man, who has not been named, completed his card in 44 numbers to win a 50 per cent share of the National Bingo Game prize.
While his win may not be quite as life-changing as Ms Lowell's, he told the game's official website he had plans for his prize, including buying a new car.
The lucky winner added: "I'm going to use the money to take my daughter on holiday, either somewhere in England near a bingo hall or maybe to Ireland as I've always wanted to go there."
