Southport's Mecca Bingo has registered "quite an achievement", according to its manager Jo Dale.
The bingo boss said that staff at the venue had done well to raise £2,543 for children's charity Whizz-Kidz, which provides specialised wheelchairs for disabled youngsters.
It was over £500 more than the bingo hall had originally set out to raise, reports the Southport Visiter.
Ruth Owen, chief executive of Whizz-Kidz, was pleased with the amount of money Mecca Bingo has raised for her organisation over the last year.
Reflecting on a nationwide effort from the bingo firm, she said: "We are absolutely thrilled with the enthusiasm and inventiveness of the Mecca team and club members in raising over a quarter of a million pounds nationally to support young wheelchair-users."
The Shields Gazette reported last week that Mecca Bingo in South Shields had also raised more money than it had originally planned.
